Have been flat out for 4 months to meet our self imposed deadline of getting the new version of our software to the treasurers starting the new year. As a result, have dropped off the radar in terms of networking online and offline. Life will settle into more of a routine now so have started registering to attend some networking events again. Donna-Marie Coggins blog inspired me to to get back to Twitter. I registered there long ago and haven’t done much since. The challenge is to work out how to use it effectively! Now how do I get my Tweets to show up in my status on Facebook? I know others do it but how? All this and other mysteries of the universe will be revealed as I begin to understand this I’m sure!
Here’s to volunteer treasurers..
It’s good to see you on Twitter, Nerida. It’s really come a long way since I was on there last – I can’t believe how many more people are using it now!
I agree Donna-Marie. When originally joined about 6 months ago no one was talking about it now everyone is tweeting!
Hi Nerida
Twitter is brilliant. It’s amazing the people you can find.
OK – on your Facebook wall page under your status, click on the settings (in little tiny writing). You can link your update to things like StumbleUpon and Digg.
You can also search for Twitter applications in Facebook to make the link.
Once you have Facebook sorted, then move on to twitterfeed.com and set up a feed from your blog and/or newsletter to Twitter (which then flows onto Facebook), so everything happens without you having to think too much about it.
Another great tool is search.twitter.com where you can enter in terms about conversations you want to follow (eg: for me it is performance review, copywriting etc). Once you have done a search then add it as an RSS feed into your Google reader so you can stay on top of conversations in real time (I also set up searches for my name and Heart Harmony at the same time as part of my social monitoring).
So – there you have a quick Twit update!
Have fun – Twitter is very addictive
Thanks heaps Ingrid. Great instructions. Going to get onto that this week!

So self important with your success.
Am I twitter and bisted? Nah.
